On November 26,the 72nd ICID Congress on Irrigation and Drainagewas held in Marrakech, Morocco. Andthe 2021 (eighth) World Heritage Irrigation Structures (WHIS) was announced at the meeting. The two ancient water storage and irrigation systems in Li Canal in Jiangsu Province (Gaoyou Irrigation Area) and Sa'gya in Tibet Autonomous Region, were listed in World Heritage Irrigation Structures, which were applied by the team led by Liu Xueying in ZJWEU. It is reported by many major medias such as CCTV News, Xinhua News Agency, Guangming Daily, etc.
